The 2018-19 MJHL schedule was released recently, and the defending Turnbull and ANAVET Cup champion Steinbach Pistons will kick off their 10th anniversary season at home when they take on the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Friday, September 21st.
Some notable dates that are on the schedule include:
- The 2017 MJHL Finals rematch will take place on November 4th at the TG Smith Centre, as the Pistons and Virden Oil Capitals will do battle.
- The 2018 MJHL Showcase takes place from December 9th-12th at the Seven Oaks Rec Centre in Winnipeg. The Pistons will play two games during the four days, December 10th versus the Neepawa Natives and December 12th versus the Virden Oil Capitals.
- The final game of 2018 for Steinbach will be on December 22nd at home when they take on the Selkirk Steelers.
- The MJHL/SJHL Showcase takes place from January 13th – 15th, 2019 in Regina, SK.
- The longest homestand for the Pistons will be from January 23rd – February 2nd, as they will host five straight games at the TG Smith against Virden, Waywayseecappo, Winnipeg, Selkirk, and Dauphin in that stretch.
- The final game of the season for Steinbach is March 2nd against the Selkirk Steelers at home. The Pistons will finish off the season playing 6 of their final 8 games away from home.
