Pistons lose to Kings

The Steinbach Pistons travelled to Dauphin on Friday night to play the league-leading Dauphin Kings. They were handed their worst loss of the year, coming on the wrong end of a 13-0 loss.

Colton Graf opened the score 3:41 into the game. Bryce Lamb scored again with 6:13 remaining, and then Mitch Czibere made it 3-0 with 1:32 to go in the 1st.

Cody Esposito made it 4-0 4:44 into the 2nd period. Zeanan Ziemer then scored two straight goals 1:24 apart to make, followed by Mitch Czibere scoring two more goals of his own in the the last 1:36 of the period to make it 7-0 after 2 periods.

The Pistons made a goalie change to start the 3rd period, with Addison Herosian replacing Michael Deslauriers. It wouldn't slow the Kings offensive onslaught, however, and Colin Paull scored 12:19 into the period, followed by Devin Mitzner's second of the game 38 seconds later. Bryce Lamb and Cody Esposito scored their second goals of the game, and Zeanan Ziemer scored his 3rd with 31 seconds to go to make it 13-0.

Deslauriers stopped 22 of 30 shots in two periods and Herosian stopped 7 of 12 shots in the 3rd period for the Pistons. Joe Caligiuri stopped all 20 shots for the Kings.
