Pistons acquire Bellerose from Ice Dogs

The Steinbach Pistons acquired F Luke Bellerose (’97) yesterday from the Dryden Ice Dogs (SIJHL) in exchange for future considerations.

Bellerose is a native of High Prairie, Alberta. He has spent his Junior A career with the Columbia Valley Rockies (KIJHL), North Peace Navigators (NWJHL), and this season with the Ice Dogs. He has recorded 34 points (14 G, 20 A) in 24 games played this year.

“Luke brings depth to the line-up with a gritty style of play,” Head Coach and General Manager Paul Dyck said. “Along with those intangibles, he has the ability to score as well. We are excited to have him on our team.”

Bellerose recorded 36 points (14 G, 22 A) with the Navigators in 29 games played last year. The Pistons would like to welcome Luke to the organization.
