Pistons deliver pizza to the community

Some helpful Steinbach Pistons dropped off orders of pizza to some very hungry employees of local Steinbach businesses on Thursday morning.

Will Koop, Brady Tatro, Bradley Schoonbaert, Tanner Mole, Tyson McConnell, and James Barclay were all on hand to assist the enVision Foundation with their Corporate Pizza Fundraiser.

The players went door-to-door to 55 local businesses two weeks ago to encourage them to purchase pizza from Rocco’s Pizzeria to support enVision, and then followed up with each to collect orders last week.

“The Pistons are known in the community and they’re a great community organization,” said Jo-Anne Dalton, the Fundraising Promotion Coordinator with the enVision Foundation. “Their encouragement in the event helps people get involved.”

Dalton said the players were really helpful and tons of fun to be around. “It helps to have the muscle to carry 18 pizzas into one business,” she joked.

The profits from those are being donated to the enVision Foundation’s fall campaign.
