The T.G. Smith Centre is Getting Icy Cold

Summer is in full swing in southeastern Manitoba with plus 30 temperatures forecasted for this upcoming weekend. However, that isn’t the case inside the T.G. Smith Centre these days as City of Steinbach staff are busy making ice.

Right now the team of people are busy painting lines and placing ice decals. This is a very important step because whatever is placed under the ice now will be featured right until the ice is taken out in late April.

There are already scheduled ice times for next weekend, so the goal is to get everything in tip top shape for the first skates of the season.

The Steinbach Pistons Power Camp is now less than 2 weeks away, kicking off on August 28th. And then The Steinbach Pistons Rookie Camp starts up on September 2nd.
