For the second consecutive season, forward Tanner Mole is the Golden West Fan Favorite award winner.
Mole was the top choice in a fan poll conducted by Golden West Radio and Steinbachonline.com. The graduating forward’s last junior season was hampered by injuries, however he still managed to score 16 goals in 34 games in 2019-20 while putting up 2 goals and 2 assists in the first round playoff series against the Winnipeg Blues.
On the ice, Mole became known for his all-around ability. He showcased his ability to be a clutch goal scorer; including a couple of shootout winners during the regular season, as well as some big goals in the playoffs.
He also played big minutes on the penalty kill and used his 6’3″ frame to throw his weight around with big hits that would create a buzz around the TG Smith Centre.
