The Steinbach Credit Union Community Service & Leadership award goes to a player that best exudes someone that is diligent in giving back to the community just as they’re diligent in their work to get better on the ice. This year’s award goes to Tanner Mole.
In his three seasons in Steinbach, Mole has represented the Pistons just as well off the ice as he did on it. He spent countless hours volunteering in schools as well as helping out the organization with their events in the summer.
In 2019-20 Mole worked with team chaplain Mike Kehler and Youth for Christ in Steinbach to put on FCA Huddles, which he mentored young local hockey players to talk about their life in the game. He also worked with enVision Community Living a number of times throughout the season.
Mole was named the MJHL Manitoba Pork Peak Performer of the Month in January for his dedication to volunteering in the community.
Congratulations to Tanner Mole on receiving the 2019-20 SCU Community Service & Leadership award!
