Lisoway spent two seasons with the Pistons in 2012-13 and 2015-16, and also spent most of his junior years in major junior hockey. He has spent time with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL, and the Acadie-Bathhurst Titan of the QMJHL. He played two seasons with the University of Manitoba Bisons of U Sports, registering 11 goals and 3 assists in 28 games played in 2017-18.

Lisoway played 54 games with the Pistons, scoring a point per game over that stretch with 54 points. He scored 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 points in 2015-16, and notched 15 points (8 goals and 7 assists) in 16 playoff games for Steinbach.
