Lesage Volunteer of the Month

The Steinbach Pistons along with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Impact Team recognized Guy Lesage as the Pistons’ Volunteer of the Month for December.

Lesage has been a volunteer with the Pistons over the past few years. It all started one Pistons game day a few years ago when he asked if the Pistons needed help. The team replied back with yes, as they can always can add more volunteers to the team.

And now Lesage is a common site for Pistons fans on game days. He is often found with his security vest on at the front gate checking tickets and handing game day programs.

“I volunteer because of the people,” Lesage says. “I enjoy the Pistons community and interacting with all the volunteers on game days.”

Volunteers are an important component of any Junior ‘A’ franchise and Guy’s dedication over the years has been a key component on why the team has seen so much success.

There are lots of opportunities to join the Steinbach Pistons volunteer team. The Pistons are always looking for goal judges, security guards, ticket gate attendants, arena PA announcers, scorekeepers and the list goes on.
