Pistons Acquire F Butler from Blizzard

The Steinbach Pistons have upgraded their forward depth as the team announced they have acquired forward Ryan Butler (’99) from the OCN Blizzard in exchange for D Carter Ambrose (’04) and Future Considerations.

The 20-year-old forward from Maple Ridge, British Columbia has split time this season with the Blizzard and the SJHL’s Melville Millionaires. Butler led the Blizzard in scoring with 18 goals and 33 points in 28 games this season.

“Ryan will add speed to our lineup and more depth to our offence,“ Head Coach/General Manager Paul Dyck. “He has had a strong year so far and we are really looking forward to seeing him in our colours soon.“

Ambrose was selected by Steinbach in the 5th round of the 2019 MJHL Draft from the Churchill High School Bulldogs.

The organization would like to welcome Ryan and his family to the Pistons community!
