Pistons Acquire F Halfdanson from Flyers

The Steinbach Pistons have acquired F Trent Halfdanson (’00) from the Winkler Flyers in exchange for F Marcel Berube (’99).

Halfdanson, 18, is from Winnipeg and has suited up in 23 games this year for the Flyers, netting two goals and two assists along with fifty-five penalty minutes for Winkler. He played in his first full season in the MJHL last year, scoring two goals and added five assists in 42 games played with the Flyers.

“Trent plays the game with an edge, brings toughness, and has an upside offensively,” Head Coach and GM Paul Dyck said of Halfdanson. “He is still a younger player but has over 70 games of MJHL experience. We are very pleased to be adding Trent.”

Berube had three goals and six assists in 26 games played this season with the Pistons.

The Pistons would like to welcome Trent to the Pistons Community, and wish Marcel all the best as he continues his hockey career in Winkler.
