Pistons Acquire F Young from OJHL’s Tigers

The Steinbach Pistons have acquired F Bryce Young (’99) from the Aurora Tigers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for Future Considerations.

Young was the Tigers’ leading scorer with 11 goals and 7 assists in 19 games this season. He has made a stop in the MJHL, suiting up in 9 games during the 2017-18 season with the OCN Blizzard.

The 19-year-old put up 60 goals and 41 assists in 51 games with the SIJHL’s Red Lake Miners in 2018-19 and was named the SIJHL Rookie of the Year, a first-team All-Star, and the league MVP winner as a result.

“Bryce has been a very productive player throughout his junior career,“ Head Coach/GM Paul Dyck said of the deal. “We are excited to add a player of his caliber to our lineup.“

Young is expected to join the team early this week in time for the Pistons’ next game against the Neepawa Natives on Wednesday night.

The organization would like to welcome Bryce and his family to the Pistons community!
