The Steinbach Pistons have acquired G Dante Giannuzzi (’02) from the Winnipeg Blues in exchange for Future Considerations.
The 17-year-old goaltender has played 6 games with the Blues this season, compiling a 3.91 GAA and a .918 SV%. His standout performance came earlier this month against the Winkler Flyers on October 8th, where he made 52 saves on the night in a 4-2 win.
“Dante is a talented goaltender with a bright future,“ Head Coach/GM Paul Dyck said of Giannuzzi. “We feel he will be a very good fit with our group and we look forward to him joining us.”
The Winnipeg native has some WHL experience under his belt, suiting up in four games last season with the Portland Winterhawks. He was also a part of the Rink Hockey Academy Prep team last season where he had a .919 SV% and a 2.50 GAA in four games as well.
The organization would like to welcome Dante and his family to the Pistons community!
