Pistons Acquire Oakville Blades Worrad for Graham

The Steinbach Pistons have acquired 20 year-old Forward Drew Worrad from the Oakville Blades of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) in exchange for 20 year-old Forward Mackenzie Graham.

Worrad, who hails from Denfield Ontario, has played the last two seasons with the Oakville Blades. The 6’1”, 175 lbs product has played 101 games, compiling 40 goals and 61 assists for 101 points.

“Drew is a player that will bring experience and leadership to our room,” explains Pistons Head Coach and General Manager Paul Dyck. “He is a high character young man who has also been very productive on the ice at the Junior A level. We were lacking right-handed centermen so Drew will fill that hole as well. We are very excited to add him to our roster.

Mackenzie Graham heads to Oakville after two very successful seasons with the Steinbach Pistons. In 111 games with the Pistons, the Etobicoke Ontario native scored 50 goals and added 70 assists for 120 points.

“On behalf of the organization, we would like to thank Mack for his contributions both on and off the ice the past 2 seasons,” states Dyck. “He is a tremendous player and a great guy and we wish him all the best in Oakville.”

The Pistons are very excited with the addition of Drew Worrad and would like to welcome him and his family to the Steinbach Pistons community.

Pistons fans will be able to see the team’s newest member in action, when returning players will take to the ice at Pistons Main Camp, which is set to begin on Tuesday, September 5th.
