Dan Taillefer scored two goals and Bradley Schoonboaert a goal and an assist to lead the Steinbach Pistons to a 5-2 victory over the OCN Blizzard Saturday night at OCN to complete the weekend sweep of the Blizzard. The Pistons were also 3-2 winners Friday night on the first leg of their weekend northern swing.

The Pistons were never really tested in this one as they skated to period leads of 1-0 and 3-0. Tyson McConnell scored his first goal as a Piston in the first and Taillefer and Schoonbaert added powerplay markers in the second. Jordan Bochinski also scored his sixth of the campaign for the visiting Pistons in the third.

Steinbach outshot OCN 32-29 as Jeremy Wik made 27 saves for the Pistons.

Mackenzie Graham, Bradley Schoonbaert and Darby Gula were the Steinbach goal scorers in the series opener on Friday. And Roman Bengert was superb in net making 38 stops in the 3-2 victory.

The Pistons, still third in the MJHL standings, improved to a solid 13-5-2 on the season, five points behind the second place Winkler Flyers although the Pistons have a game in hand on the Flyers.

Steinbach will complete the weekend road trip tonight at Swan River as they take on the surging Swan Valley Stampeders (8-11-3) in a 6:00 p.m. puck drop.
