Pistons Cruise to an 8-0 Win Over Blues

The Steinbach Pistons beat the Winnipeg Blues by a score of 8-0 Tuesday evening enroute to their 9th win of the season.

The Pistons opened the scoring just under 5-minutes into the game. Josh Nelson slid the puck to Davis Fry behind the net who then found Ty Paisley out front who made a nice forehand backhand move and potted the puck.

5-minutes later Steinbach extended their lead to 2-0 as a shot from Ty Paisley was tipped by Travis Hensrud and got past Blues goaltender Brock Moroz.

A couple of minutes later Ian Amsbaugh flipped the puck to Leo Chambers at the side of the net who snuck it through the short side giving the Pistons a 3-0 lead.

Steinbach continued to pour on the offense and made it 4-0 with just under 2-minutes remaining in the opening frame. Langley Kruggel stepped into a puck left for him by Amsbaugh by the left faceoff dot and put it home.

The Pistons closed out the goal filled opening frame with newcomer Landon Roberts scoring in his first game with the Pistons to make it 5-0.

The lights out top line of the Pistons got to work in the second period as they made it 6-0 halfway through the period. Hensrud dropped the puck for Paisley who found Fry cross crease with Fry making no mistake and putting it past Moroz.

A minute and a half later Hunter Degelman found Nate Goodbrandson in front who put it on net and banged the rebound past Moroz to make the game 7-0.

Steinbach made it 8-0 on their 50th shot on the night with just under 2-minutes remaining in the game. Hugo Larkin put a shot on net with Hensrud tipping it into the net.

Pistons goaltender Dominik Wasik played great once again, securing the 25 save shutout which was his first in a Pistons uniform.
