The Steinbach Pistons crumbled late as two goals in the third propelled the Virden Oil Capitals to a 4-2 win on Friday night.

After a scoreless first period, the Oil Capitals struck to open the scoring but the Pistons answered back minutes later when Braden Purtill scored to tie the game. Joseph Leonidas picked up the lone assist.

In the third, Virden scored short handed to grab the lead again. On the same power play, it was the Pistons scoring to tie it up again 2-2 thanks to Will Koop. Ryan Carlson and Bradley schoonbaert collected the assists.
