The Steinbach Pistons have provided a brief update on the health and safety measures being undertaken at the TG Smith Centre this season during home games:
“The hockey club, players, and the staff are eagerly anticipating the start of a new season on October 9th. Now that the regular season schedule has been announced this week, there have been many questions about what protocols will be in place for all home games this season in regard to health/safety and seating arrangements.
“The latest information we have is that the use of face masks during Pistons home games will not be required. We will be following all Manitoba Public Health guidelines and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s Return to Play protocols at this time, which strongly encourages the use of masks but does not require attendees to wear them.
“We are also currently working on a seating plan that also follows Manitoba health guidelines and the MJHL RTP guidelines so that you can enjoy our games in a safe manner. More information about that plan will be provided later next week.”
