Pistons Top Line Produces Yet Again in 4-0 Win Over Titans

The Steinbach Pistons shutout the Neepawa Titans 4-0 Friday evening at the TG Smith Centre.

The Pistons got to work quickly in the game, scoring at the 1:23 mark of the first period. Ty Paisley found Travis Hensrud on the breakout, and he was off to the races, beating the defender and putting it top corner past Titans goaltender Peyton Trzaska to make it 1-0.

The rest of the period saw no scoring, but the Pistons strong penalty kill got to work and shut down the Titans powerplay to keep the game 1-0.

Under 5-minutes into the second period Steinbach made it 2-0 with a beautiful powerplay goal from Ty Paisley. Paisley waited behind the net trying to find someone out front but eventually start to make his way to side of the net where he picked the top corner from a sharp angle over Trzaska’s shoulder.

Just over halfway through the middle frame Paisley got his second goal of the game, making it 3-0. Davis Fry got the puck to Paisley who made his way into the offensive zone and put the puck glove side, post and in.

Steinbach was up 3-0 after two periods of play with the shot totals 24-22 for the Pistons. Plowman looked great in net, having great rebound control, and stopping everything that came his way.

Langley Kruggel capped off the scoring for the Pistons at the 12:58 mark of the third period. Kruggel put a shot on net through traffic that went blocker side making it 4-0.

The Pistons looked great in all aspects of their game and Cole Plowman secured his first shutout of the season.
