The Steinbach Pistons tallied up the money from their Pink In the Rink event at the end of October and are pleased to announce that they will be able to write a $1,311 cheque out to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division.
The Canadian Cancer Society’s representative, Colette Toews was on hand this past week to collect the cheque from Pistons players Bradley Schoonbaert and Mackenzie Graham.
The Pistons would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event along with sponsor Sunrize Group, who helped cover some of the cost of the pink jerseys.
The Pistons donated all of the profits from the jersey auction and pink sticker sales to the cause.
