The Steinbach Pistons along with Gold-N-Memories selected captain Braden Purtill as their Player of the Month for December.
The 2nd year Pistons forward had a brilliant month, and was one of the big reasons why Steinbach went on a 10 game winning streak. Purtill scored 18 points in December (9 G, 9A), and moved up to 2nd place in the MJHL scoring race with 56 points this season. He sits only 4 points behind teammate Bradley Schoonbaert for the lead.
The Winnipeg native leads the MJHL with 24 power play points (10 G, 14 A).
Purtill was presented the award during the Pistons’ last home game this past Sunday by Gold-N-Memories representative Andy Schinkel.
