The Steinbach Pistons head to Selkirk this evening to face off against the Selkirk Steelers

The Steinbach Pistons still sit atop the MJHL standings with a 22-4 record and 44 points. The Pistons are currently riding a 6-game win streak where they have outscored their opponents 41-12 over that time and have scored 7-goals in three straight games. Dominik Wasik and Cole Plowman have continued to be a dominant goalie tandem as they are close to the top in in the MJHL in combined GAA and SV%. Davis Fry has continued to be an offensive juggernaut as he was just named the Pistons player of the month for the month of November.

The Selkirk Steelers have started to claw their way back after their slow start to the season. Selkirk currently sits in 5th place in the MGEU East division with an 8-14-3-1 record and 20 points. Selkirk’s goalies, Hunter Tarves and Joshua Kirton, have a combined GAA of 3.91 and a combined SV% of 0.886. The Steelers are currently on a 4-game win streak where they have outscored their opponents 14-7 over that span.

Pistons: Davis Fry

Fry has had a breakout season as he leads the MJHL in points with 44 points in 26 games. Fry has been dominant on the Pistons lethal powerplay as he as 17 points on the powerplay.

Steelers: Lucas Brennan

Lucas Brennan has been a catalyst for the Steelers offence as he has been on a goal scoring tear recently, leading the MJHL in goals. In 20 games this season Brennan has 20 goals and 15 assists for 35 points. Brennan has high offensive talent and a knack for scoring which resulted in him recently committing to Bemidji State.
