PLAYERS TO WATCH

Pistons: Braden Birnie

Braden Birnie was named the Steinbach Pistons player of the month for January. In his 8 games with the Pistons Birnie has 9 points (3 goals and 6 assists). Birnie tallied an assist in last night’s game, lobbing a nice pass to Quinton Pepper for his first goal of the game. Braden is a player that is constantly putting in maximum effort. Whether it be on the rush and in the offensive zone or on the forecheck forcing turnovers. Braden is a physical player who always finishes his checks and creates scoring chances as a result.

Flyers: Justin Svenson

Justin Svenson has a lot of offensive talent. Second in MJHL scoring with 59 points (24 goals and 35 assists), Svenson is always contributing to the offence and creating scoring chances. Justin Svenson seemingly always finds himself in the right place at the right time and makes sure to never let a scoring chance go by.
