The Steinbach Pistons head to Neepawa tonight to faceoff against the Neepawa Titans with puck drop set for 7:30pm.
Steinbach currently sits tied for first in the MJHL alongside the Portage Terriers with 62 points and a 31-10 record. The Pistons have won their last 3-games, where they have outscored their opponents 13-6 over that span. The MJHL/SJHL showcase just finished up earlier this week with the Pistons being represented well, sending 10 players to play on the various MJHL teams. Injuries continue to plague the Pistons with key players coming in and out of the lineup, forcing lines to be shifted and mixed and matched.
Neepawa currently sits in last place in the very night MGEU West division and 10th place overall in the MJHL with 43 points and a 17-18-8-1 record. In the West division, eight points separates first from last with a three-team tie at 51 points. The Titans were represented at the MJHL/SJHL showcase with three players. Neepawa will be looking to get back into the win column as they have dropped 4-games in a row, being outscored 12-6 over that span.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Pistons: Warren Clark
Warren Clark was just named the defenceman of the month of January for the MJHL where he got 11 points (1 goal and 10 assists) in 10 games. Clark is a dynamic player that is really coming into his own. He drives with the puck and creates offence but also uses his big frame to disrupt the opposing team and lock down the back end. Clark is a powerplay quarterback who cycles the puck well and finds the open man.
Titans: Briley Wood
Briley Wood leads the Titans in scoring with 37 points (12 goals and 25 assists) in 26 games. Wood is a very versatile player that gets used in all situations, whether that be on the powerplay, penalty kill or even strength. Eight of Wood’s goals come from special teams with 6 being powerplay goals and 2 being shorthanded goals.
