The Steinbach Pistons head to Winnipeg this evening to face off against the Winnipeg Freeze at the Hockey for All Centre.
The Pistons are 3-1 since the start of the second half of the season with their only loss coming at the hands of the Portage Terriers. Over these first four games since the Christmas break the Pistons have outscored their opponents 14-7. The Pistons still sit atop the MJHL standings with a 27-7 record and 54 points with the Terriers in second with 48 points and 3-games in hand. The goalie tandem of Dominik Wasik and Cole Plowman continues to be dominant with a combined GAA of 2.20 and SV% of 0.922.
The Freeze have struggled this year as they bring up the rear in the MJHL with a 2-28-2 record and 6 points. The lone bright spot on their season thus far is the Freeze goaltending as they have a combined 0.901 SV% and a 5.00 GAA. The Freeze currently are on a 25-game losing streak as they have not won since October 18 and will be looking to end that as soon as possible.

Pistons: Warren Clark
Warren Clark was recently named an MJHL star of the week as he got 5 points (1 goal and 4 assists) in 3 games this past week. Clark is a dynamic defenceman who is comfortable in both ends of the ice. He quarterbacks the powerplay and is confident with the puck at the blueline, generating offence and cycling the puck.
Freeze: Goaltending
The Freeze goaltenders are the focal point of the organization. With a combined GAA of 5.00 the Freeze goaltenders have put up a combined SV% of 0.901 which is unreal. The goalie tandem of Keegan Gordon and Michael O’Sullivan usually get peppered with shots each night, but do their best to keep their team in the game.
