The Steinbach Pistons head to Neepawa to face off against the Titans with puck drop set for 6:30pm.

The Pistons currently sit in second place in the MGEU East Division and the MJHL with 76 points and a 38-13-0-0 record, 6-points behind the Terriers with one game in hand. Steinbach is winners of 5-straight, outscoring their opponents 16-9 over that span. Dominik Wasik was just awarded the Pistons player of the month for February where he had a record of 6-1, had a 2.49 GAA and a SV% of 0.909. The Pistons are currently in the race for first in the MJHL but as of right now they will be facing the Winkler Flyers in the first round of the playoffs.

The Neepawa Titans currently have a record of 21-23-8-1 and 51 points which sits them in last place in the MGEU West Division and 10th in the MJHL. The Titans are looking to catch the last playoff spot in the West division, as they currently sit 8-points behind the Waywayseecappo Wolverines who are currently in the last playoff position in the West. The Titans are currently 3-2 in their last 5-games where they have outscored their opponents 20-17 over that span.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Pistons: Travis Hensrud

Travis Hensrud was just named a finalist for the MJHL league MVP. Hensrud is currently on a 6-game point streak where he has gotten 10 points (3 goals and 7 assists). Hensrud is a very versatile player who plays with a lot of speed and tenacity. He is used in all scenarios and has a constant forecheck that generates lots of scoring chances. Hensrud has a lethal shot but also makes offensive happen with his vision and setting up teammates.

Titans: Briley Wood

Briley Wood leads the Titans in scoring this season with 48 points (18 goals and 30 assists) in 34 games. Wood has a big body, standing at 6’3 and 188 lbs and he uses that to his advantage. Wood plays a physical game and uses that to generate offence and disrupt the other team. Wood is an asset on the Titans powerplay as he has 8 powerplay goals this season.
