Upgrades Taking Place at the T.G.

The Steinbach Pistons old barn will be a lot brighter to start the hockey season in the fall.

The City of Steinbach is busy ripping down the old roof and getting ready for the new LED lights and roof cover.

The roof cover hadn’t been replaced since the mid-nineties, and since then when ever staff have had to replace a light bulb they’ve taken down anything within arms reach while being up there.

Despite the occasional clearing over the years, they found 256 1/2 pucks, sponge puck, ringette ring, softball and a volleyball.

Fans will be able to see the team better than ever before come the team’s home opener in September.
