Pistons Acquire D Wilson from Steelers

The Steinbach Pistons have acquired D Mark Wilson (’97) in exchange for D Nolan Ferguson (’98).

The Winnipeg native is in his 4th MJHL season, and has tallied 1 goal and six assists in 23 games played this year. His season high in points came last season with Selkirk, as he registered 26 points (4 G, 22 A) in 59 games played. “With the addition of Mark, we gain another veteran presence on our back end,” Head Coach Paul Dyck said. “He is a very good puck moving defenceman, and will compliment our high tempo game.”

The 20 year old Wilson will be in the lineup tonight when the Pistons face the OCN Blizzard for a second straight night.

Ferguson has played 12 games with the Pistons, tallying 1 goal and 5 assists in that span. We would like to wish Nolan all the best as he continues his career with the Steelers.
