Blue Bomber Star Coming to TG Smith February 3rd

There will be some special guests at the TG Smith Centre in a couple of weeks’ time.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers linebacker Adam Bighill will be in attendance, and he’s bringing the championship trophy with him when the Steinbach Pistons take on the Swan Valley Stampeders on Monday, February 3rd at 7:30 pm. It’s part of a six-week Manitoba Grey Cup Tour that the Bombers organization are holding throughout the offseason to say thank you to the province for their support.

Bighill has had a memorable two seasons so far with the Blue and Gold. He was the CFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and was also selected as a CFL All-Star and was named the Blue Bomber Most Outstanding Player that same season.

He helped lead the Bombers’ defense in 2019 as the unit only allowed 13 points per game on their way to a CFL title as they defeated the Hamilton Tiger Cats 33-12 in the championship game.

Bighill will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans from 6:30-7:30 pm in the lobby and will be performing the ceremonial puck drop before the game. Mascots Buzz and Boomer will also be at the game to say hi to fans, and there will be championship merchandise and Steinbach neighborhood flags available for purchase as well.

February 3rd is also a makeup game as the originally scheduled game on October 11th was postponed to poor weather conditions. Fans who have saved their tickets from that date can use their tickets to get into the building on the 3rd.

You can purchase tickets for the game online at Steinbachpistons.ca/tickets or one hour prior to the game at the ticket gate.
