Compass Coach Lines Road Report – Feb 16 @ Dauphin Kings

It’s the start of a bog weekend for the Pistons as they head out to Dauphin on Friday night to face the Kings at Credit Union Place. Then, it’s back to home ice Monday where the blue and white host the Winkler Flyers.

Steinbach had a similar schedule to this three weeks ago with the Kings and Flyers in the same weekend and came out 0-2. With the goal of maintaining first place to close out the season, the Pistons will be looking for a 2-0 result this weekend and nothing less.

Nothing new to report on the IR but at the same time, nobody from the IR is back in the lineup, leaving the Pistons with 5 defenseman dressed on the road on Friday. Good news is that Parker Jasper could be back in next week. No update on Szabo or Cook at this time.

The Pistons are however funding ways to win games regardless of having a depleted back end. Steinbach is coming off of a commanding 9-1 win over the Winnipeg Blues on Wednesday night at home.  The Pistons win streak now sits at 6.

The Kings win streak that started after the trade deadline came to a close as they have dropped two of their last three games, both to the Wolverines who are hot on Neepawa’s tail fighting for a playoff spot. Dauphin sits two points back of the second place Blizzard with two games in hand.
