Compass Coach Lines Road Report – Feb 9 @ Winnipeg Blues

The Pistons continue a busy stretch of games on the road on Friday night at the Hockey For All Centre in a battle versus the Blues.

After Tuesday’s win over the Selkirk Steelers, the Pistons clinched their spot in the playoffs and now look to build momentum top close out the last 14 games of the regular season.

In the injury report, local call-up Eric Cote will draw into the lineup with Parker Jasper, Jack Cook, and Noah Szabo still out due to injury.

Cole Plowman is projected to get the nod on Friday in Winnipeg. Fair to say the 20-year-old will get most of the starts from here on in as the Pistons coaching staff look to get him locked in for playoffs.

Safe to say the Blues are out of the playoff picture this season but with nothing lose, they will look to upset the first place Pistons on home ice.

SPECIAL TEAMS

PISTONS: PP 41/183 – 22.4%        PK 201/223 – 90.1%
BLUES: PP 21/191 – 11.0%            PK 138/176 – 78.4%

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Pistons: Connor Paronuzzi

Although Connor has been a little quiet on the scoresheet in his last few games, his impact on the ice never goes unnoticed.  Connor is always working and is not afraid to get into the dirty areas. Expect him to show up in a big way on Friday versus the Blues on the larger ice surface.

Blues: Dawson Zeller

Dawson Zeller has also been quiet as of late on the scoresheet which is abnormal for the rookie forward who has scored 19 goals this season. Zeller is a big part of the Blues offense and will look to find his groove on home ice.

Puck drop at the Hockey For All Centre is at 7:30pm. Catch the game on  Flo Hockey or listen to voice of the Pistons Dave Anthony over at DAbroadcasting.mixlr.com.
