Steinbach Pistons defenceman Curtis Ireland was named the Telus MJHL Defenceman of the Month for September.
Ireland is the Pistons leading scorer to start the season with 5 assists in 4 GP during the first two weeks of the season.
The Brandon native has been paired with veteran defenceman Troy Williams by Head Coach and GM Paul Dyck in the early going, and has seen action in all situations for the Pistons, including heavy minutes on the PP and PK.
