Players come to Steinbach from all over North America, looking for a home away from home during the hockey season. Often these players are leaving their home for the first time, looking for stability while trying to further themselves educationally and as a hockey player.
Billets play an integral role in helping the organization create an atmosphere that builds our players up to become men of Character, Leadership and Integrity.
Our billet coordinator, Janice Fender helps billet families each step of the way providing them with all the details and support needed to have an enjoyable experience.
In return for billeting a player, the Steinbach Pistons give billets season tickets, along with $300/month per player. The team also provides gift certificates to local businesses to help offset the cost of housing the players.
