Pistons Acquire 18 Year-Old Forward

The Steinbach Pistons acquired free agent 18 year-old forward Jack Johnson earlier this week. Johnson played his first game with the Pistons in Wednesday’s 8-7 win over the Neepawa Natives.

Johnson is from Bemidji, Minnesota, splitting time last year playing high school hockey for Great Plains and Bemidji High in the USHS. Last season he scored 20 goals and 28 assists for 48 points in 46 games.

The Pistons also saw 19 year-old forward Scott Petkau decide to move on from the Steinbach Pistons to pursue other career opportunities. We wish Petkau all the best as he continues to pursue his goals on and off the ice.

Pistons host the 2nd placed OCN Blizzard tonight 7:30 pm at the T.G. Smith Centre.
