Pistons Acquire Kruse From Stampeders

The Steinbach Pistons have acquired F Kasyn Kruse (’99) from the Swan Valley Stampeders in exchange for Future Considerations.

Kruse recently returned to the Stampeders after spending some time with the NAHL’s Jamestown Rebels and got into two games this season with Swan Valley.

The Luverne, Minnesota product played his first season in the MJHL last year, notching 8 goals and 22 points in 53 games for a Stampeders team that finished second in the standings.

Kruse broke out in the playoffs, scoring 7 goals and adding 7 assists in 17 postseason games as Swan came within a goal of winning the Turnbull Cup. Five of those points came in the semi-final series against the Pistons.

“Kasyn brings a lot of speed to the ice and plays a physical game,“ Head Coach/GM Paul Dyck said of his new forward. “His playoff experience is also a nice asset to our lineup.”

The 20-year-old has some familiarity with the Pistons’ Head Coach, as Dyck coached his team at the 2019 MJHL/SJHL Showcase.

The organization would like to welcome Kasyn and his family to the Pistons community!
