Rookie Brad Schoonbaert paced the Pistons with a pair of goals while Jordan Bochinski and Matthieu Gomercic added singles. Hayden Goderis set up two of the Steinbach goals.

Jeremy Wik had a strong game in net for the Pistons as he made 26 saves.

In other Friday games at the Showcase, Portage downed OCN 4-3 in overtime, Virden blanked Neepawa 5-0, Winkler shutout Dauphin 3-0 and Winnipeg ouotscored Swan Valley 3-1.

The Pistons will take to the ice again tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Iceplex as they square off against the Swan Valley Stampeders (2-2).
