Pistons Trade Phinney to Natives

The Steinbach Pistons have traded goaltender Thomson Phinney (’00) and Future Considerations to the Neepawa Natives in exchange for Future Considerations.

The 20-year-old netminder from Halifax, Nova Scotia was acquired by the Pistons at the MJHL trade deadline in January of 2020 and played in seven games for Steinbach last season, recording a 1.83 GAA and a .929 SV%.

Phinney also spent time with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in 2019-20, combining for a 17-10-3 record with a 2.87 GAA and a .896 SV% over 32 appearances with the Wolverines and Pistons in the crease.

The Pistons organization wishes Thomson all the best as he continues his career with Neepawa.
