Seeding Complete For 2021 Pistons Crop Program

Under windy and cloudy skies, Ed, Lyle, Vic, and Eric Peters of Henervic Farms were busy at work planting soybeans for the 2021 Pistons Crop Program.

The field is located to the east of Steinbach, about six miles south of La Broquerie. Henervic Farms are handling the Pistons Crop Program for the fourth time since this annual offseason project was launched back in 2014.

Despite the cool weather, just the right amount of precipitation fell during the May long weekend for seeding conditions, which was ideal for the crop to be planted soon after.

The Pistons would like to thank the Peters family at Henervic Farms for all of their hard work to make this project possible. The team would also like to thank Mazergroup, Shur-Gro Farm Services, BASF, Marc Hutlet Seeds, and Clearview Co-op for all of your support in this year’s crop program.

The organization is looking forward to taking one more visit during the summer to check on the progress in the field before harvest in September.
