The Steinbach Pistons remain near the top of the CJHL Top Twenty Rankings this week with a 2nd place position.
Steinbach was able to solidify that spot after three wins to end the week. The Pistons defeated the Winnipeg Blues 5-2 on Thursday, Virden Oil Capitals 5-0 on Friday and then the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 4-0 on Sunday.
The Pistons are starting to find their scoring groove again. They kicked off the season scoring five or more goals in seven of their first eight contests.
And then they went through the next seven games scoring four or less. With game six and seven seeing the Pistons score only one goal in each of the games, ending up in Steinbach’s only two losses of the season.
However, it looks like the offense is back and the Pistons have now scored 5 or more goals in each of their last three games.
The Pistons will look to continue that this week when they host the Neepawa Natives on Wednesday and then travel to play Selkirk on Thursday.
