Ty Paisley Makes Central Scouting Final Rankings for 2022 NHL Draft

The Steinbach Pistons would like to congratulate Ty Paisley on being added to the Central Scouting’s final rankings for the 2022 NHL Draft. Ty Paisley (’04) is in his first season with the Steinbach Pistons and has had a great season. In 53 regular season games Ty had 30 points (17 goals and 13 assists) and in the playoffs has 10 points (5 goals and 5 assists) in 17 games. Ty has been a big part of the Pistons success this season. Ty is a very versatile player who is great on even strength but also a major asset on the powerplay. With a great offensive touch, Ty moves the puck really well and generates lots of offence in the offensive zone.

Before joining the Pistons, Ty played three years for the Rink Hockey Academy on their U15, U16 and U18 teams. On the U18 team in the shortened season due to Covid, Ty had an impressive 13 points (8 goals and 5 assists) in 5 games.

“Ty has worked very hard on his game, at getting stronger off the ice and it has resulted in seeing a really good progression in his development” Head Coach and GM Paul Dyck stated. “He is extremely committed to the process so it’s nice to see him get this recognition.”

Commenting on what this might mean to Ty, Paul commented, “it’s always encouraging for a young player to be acknowledged as a potential NHL prospect. It can provide a little added motivation for the players as they head into their summer workouts and I am sure Ty will use it as fuel.” Dyck further stated, “should his name be called on draft day, it will be a moment he will never forget. If not, he still has a bright future ahead of him.”

Congratulations Ty! The Pistons wish you all the best as you continue on your hockey journey.
