2018 Pistons Celebrity Golf Tournament A Success

It was another beautiful day out yesterday, perfect for the annual Pistons Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by Unger Foaming Solutions and UDT Interiors Inc.

The event was held at the Quarry Oaks Golf Course, as all of the golfers took part in a fun-filled day which included 18 holes of golf, a celebrity auction, the Dynamic Driving Range Challenge, and a banquet to cap off the afternoon.

Celebrities this year included Winnipeg Jets great Thomas Steen, Blue Bomber and Canadian Football Hall of Fame receiver James Murphy, Blue Bomber Hall of Fame kicker Trevor Kennerd, TSN 1290’s Brian Munz, NHL and pro hockey alumni such as Ian White and Jeff Penner, and many current and former Pistons.

A big thanks to Dave Unger, UFS, and UDT Interiors Inc. for being our title sponsor this year. Thanks to Earl’s Meat Market, Sobey’s, Superstore, and Bake World for supplying the lunch, water, chips, and buns that were served out on the course, to HyLife for supplying the meat cooked during the banquet, and to all of the staff at Quarry Oaks helping organize and assisting us with this year’s tournament.

Thanks to all of our hard-working volunteers for helping set up, for delivering the lunch, and for manning our tables at the banquet. A big thanks to all of our hole sponsors for coming out, and thanks to all of the golfers for their support of the Pistons!

Congratulations to the team of Rejean Carriere, Andre Carriere, Derrek Funk, and Ivan Normandeau for winning the 2018 Piston Cup along with Pistons alumni Dan Taillefer with a score of -20.
