The MJHL has built a unique relationship with the RCMP, using the MJHL players like Pistons forward Scott Petkau to help connect with students.
Here is a picture of Petkau reading to kids at Woodlawn school this past week. One of the books Petkau read was a Berenstain Bears Book about teasing.
Defenseman Connor Martin along with goaltender Roman Bengert have also taken time out of their schedule to make a positive impact on local schools.
These outings are all about of the Steinbach Pistons initiative to spend 1500 hours in the community.
