Pistons Welcome New Billet Coordinator, Say Goodbye to Another

The Steinbach Pistons announced today that long-time Billet Coordinator Janice Fender has resigned from the role after being with the organization for six years.

“Janice did an incredible job for us and it was a pleasure working with her,” says Head Coach/GM Paul Dyck. “I was always very thankful for the work she did ensuring we had great homes for each player. She will be missed although we are also excited about her replacement.”

Janice had been involved with the Pistons as Billet Coordinator since 2013. She had been busy setting up host families and recruiting other families in the Steinbach area to host Pistons players during the hockey season.

Assuming the role will be long-time Pistons billet Stacy Froese. She and her husband Sheldon along with their family have billeted players for the past six years, and this past year hosted forward Easton Bennett and defenceman Evan Kaufman. She has been an incredible asset to the Pistons the past few seasons having helped coordinate the Fire and Ice Banquet.

The Pistons would like to welcome Stacy to the organization, and would like to thank Janice for her six wonderful years with the team! We wish you all the best Janice!

The Pistons are currently looking for billet families for the 2019-20 season. If you are interested, please contact Stacy at [email protected].
