Virden’s goalie tandem of Owen LaRocque and Eric Reid has continued to split time as LaRocque got the nod for game one and Reid for game two. PLAYERS TO WATCH

Pistons: Dominik Wasik

Dominik Wasik has been a rock the first two games of the MJHL finals. Wasik has back-to-back shutouts to start the season, stopping 28/28 shots in game one and 31/31 shots in game two. In the post season, Wasik is boasting a 0.923 SV% and a 2.29 GAA. Wasik has great vision, tracking shots from the point extremely well, smothering them while controlling rebounds efficiently. When called upon, Wasik will pull out the acrobatic stops, making some highlight reel saves.

Oil Capitals: Nolan Chastko

Nolan Chastko is currently second in MJHL scoring with 16 points (9 goals and 7 assists) in 15 games. Chastko (’05) is currently a rookie in the MJHL and looking like he will be a star in the league. Chastko plays a quick game where he generates offence with his speed and great vision. The Pistons have been able to keep him off the scoresheet so far but he is due to break through.
