The Steinbach Pistons head to Waywayseecappo tonight to face off against the Wolverines with puck drop set for 7:30pm.
The Steinbach Pistons in back-to-back games have been down at some point in the third period and comeback to win with a 5-4 over the Dauphin Kings and a 3-2 win over the Niverville Nighthawks. The Pistons continue to play catchup with the Portage Terriers as the Terriers sit 6 points ahead of the Pistons, but the Pistons do have a game in hand. The Pistons are one of three teams along with the Terriers to have officially clinched a spot in the 2023 MJHL playoffs. The Pistons currently sit in second place in the MJHL with 70 points and a 35-13-0-0 record.
The Waywayseecappo Wolverines currently sit in 6th place in the MJHL and third in the very tight MGEU West Division. The Wolverines have 59 points and a 27-16-3-2 record. Four points separates first from fifth in the West Division with every win being so important for the remainder of the season. The Wolverines have an almost even goal differential with 160 goals for and 162 goals against for a -2-goal differential which is fourth in the West division.

Pistons: Brett Kaiser
Brett Kaiser is coming off a three-point game that saw him score and get two assists and has scored in two games in a row. Kaiser has 11 points (3 goals and 8 assists) in 31 games so far this season. Kaiser is in his rookie season and has started to make his mark and get in the swing of playing in the MJHL. Kaiser has good offensive awareness, resulting in him being a good playmaker and generating offence.
Wolverines: Tresor Wotton
Tresor Wotton has a record of 22-9-2-0 with the 22 wins leading the MJHL in goalie wins. Wotton also has a 0.901 SV% and a 2.90 GAA. Wotton has been strong in net for the Wolverines and has taken on a heavy work load as he has started 35 games for the Wolverines.
