Pistons Hit The Field For Harvest 2021

The 2021 Steinbach Pistons Crop Program came to a close last week as our friends at Henervic Farms harvested this year’s soybean crop.

Despite the lack of rain throughout the majority of this summer, the 120 acre piece south of La Broquerie managed to make it through and produce a strong yield.

This project would not be possible without our partners at Marc Hutlet Seeds, Mazergroup, Shur-Gro Farm Services, BASF, Clearview Co-op, and of course, Henervic Farms.

Thank you to Ed, Lyle (&Noah), Vic, Eric and Trav for greeting us in the field throughout this growing season and allowing our players to ride along in the equipment.  This program provides a great educational opportunity for the Pistons as a number of players come from non agricultural regions of Canada or the US. This gives them some insight into the agricultural industry and what life is like on the prairies.

Thank you again to the Peters family at Henervic Farms for this generous contribution to our organization. The hard work that is continuously poured into this project is sincerely appreciated. We hope to continue partnering with you in this program for years to come.

If you are interested in getting involved in future Pistons Crop Programs, please feel free to reach out by emailing [email protected].
